Terms of service
Mataa is not yet open for orders. These terms cover accounts during that period and will be reviewed before launch.
Using Mataa
Mataa is a marketplace: independent sellers list and sell products, and buyers buy them. By creating an account or using Mataa you agree to these terms.
Your account
- Give accurate details, and keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. Mataa will never ask you for a code by phone, SMS or email.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse or anything unlawful.
Buying
When you place an order, you buy from the seller who listed the product. Mataa runs the checkout, delivery and support for that order. Prices, availability and delivery estimates are shown before you confirm.
Selling
Sellers must describe products honestly, sell only what they are allowed to sell, and fulfil the orders they accept. Seller terms, fees and payouts are set out separately when a shop is opened.
What is not allowed
Selling illegal, counterfeit or unsafe goods; misleading other users; interfering with the service or other people's accounts; or using Mataa to send unsolicited messages.
Liability
We work to keep Mataa available and secure, but the service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Mataa is not liable for indirect losses, or for a seller's products beyond what these terms and the law provide.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you before it takes effect.
